American Peptide Society Membership

The American Peptide Society is dedicated to advancing and promoting knowledge of the chemistry and biology of peptides. A major component of this charter is the Society's biennial meeting. The registration fees below offer the option of paying for your American Peptide Society membership for one or two years, along with your symposium registration. Students and postdocs are eligible for the reduced fees listed below if they are a current member of one of the peptide societies and submit a letter on official institution letterhead from their advisors, verifying student or postdoctoral status, and send it with their registration form. Such students and postdocs are also eligible to participate in the Young Investigators' Mini-Symposium and Poster Competition.

APS members also receive a print and electronic subscription to our Society's official journal, Biopolymers (Peptide Science). The journal publishes both original articles and reviews covering all aspects of peptide science. In addition, members have free access to the Society's newly updated website (www.AmPepSoc.org) where the latest information on APS activities and developments in peptide science may be found. The APS also seeks to obtain discounted registration for our members at national and international meetings, and for example did so for the "Natural Peptides to Drugs" conference held in Zermatt, Switzerland, November 30 - December 3, 2004. Through the membership of the American Peptide Society in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), our members not only have a strong voice advocating for support of biomedical research, but also the opportunity to apply for MARC (Minority Access to Research Careers) Travel Awards for students and faculty.
